Why is inverter technology essential for leisure use?

Conventional construction generators produce electric current whose voltage and frequency fluctuate noticeably depending on the engine load. If you connect sensitive electronics (smartphones, laptops or smart TVs) to such a generator, you risk damaging the device.

SPARK inverter generators work in a completely different way:

Clean sine wave signal (Pure Sine Wave)
Alternating current is first converted to direct current and then, via a microprocessor-controlled inverter, back into clean alternating current. This ensures an exceptionally stable voltage without dangerous fluctuations.
Engine speed adjustment (Eco Mode)
The engine does not run under full load all the time; instead it automatically adjusts its speed to the consumption of the connected devices. The result is lower fuel consumption, longer runtime and quieter operation.
Compactness and sound insulation
Inverter models are enclosed in soundproof housings for quiet operation at the campsite.

Which SPARK model is right for your needs?

To make choosing the right unit easier, we have put together an overview of our most popular inverter models from the SPARK petrol generators range.

A light and compact solution for camping and short trips

If your main criteria are low weight and easy carrying in a car boot, the two entry-level models are the ideal choice:

SPARK generator 3200i: An excellent, extremely light and quiet unit for charging batteries, lighting, running small portable fridges or a laptop.

SPARK generator 3500i: Offers a little more power headroom, allowing several smaller loads to be powered at once or reliable operation of temporary lighting and smaller household appliances.

Inverter generators

The sweet spot for motorhomes, weekend houses and field work

When you need enough power to run more demanding devices (e.g. cookers, coffee machines, small air conditioners or electric hand tools):

SPARK generator 4000i: A reliable partner for longer camping trips and field work that easily runs several loads at once while keeping fuel consumption low.

SPARK generator 4500i: An excellent choice for motorhome and weekend-house owners who want to run even more power-hungry devices worry-free, without fear of a power cut.

Powerful solutions for demanding users and larger buildings

For greater needs, longer periods without grid power or supporting larger loads outdoors:

SPARK generator 6000iA: A top-of-the-range model equipped with an automatic start system and high output power. Suitable for powering entire weekend houses, field workshops or larger outdoor events.

SPARK generator 7000i: An extremely powerful inverter generator that combines high power for the most demanding devices with all the advantages of stable inverter voltage.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Yes, all SPARK inverter generators provide a pure sine wave (Pure Sine Wave). This means the voltage is completely stable and safe for charging even the most sensitive smart electronics without risk of damage.

SPARK inverter generators have built-in soundproof housings and run in Eco mode, which means they adapt their noise to the current load. At low loads they are extremely quiet (around 52–58 dB at a distance of 7 metres), comparable to normal conversation, and do not disturb the peace of the campsite.

Silent generators

Add up the power (W) of all the devices you want to run at the same time. For devices with inductive motors (e.g. a portable air conditioner or compressor fridge), also add 2 to 3 times the starting power to prevent overloading the generator when they switch on.

Use the power calculator

The Eco Mode function automatically adjusts engine speed to the actual connected electrical load. If you are using only a few loads, the engine runs slowly and quietly, drastically reducing fuel consumption and extending engine life.

For trouble-free operation, regularly check and change the engine oil (first change usually after 20 operating hours, then every 50–100 hours), clean the air filter and use fresh fuel. Before long-term storage (e.g. over winter), we recommend draining the fuel from the carburettor.
